towards few months ago before i depart for europe, i was comissioned to do a 10by14inch painting for John. he makes wonderful flutes and i was very grateful that we can do an exchange of our arts . so he made a flute with a sumi bear totem for me while i sat down to do a painting for him .

finally, the painting arrived his side and he wrote back to me saying :

Dear Ayako,
Your painting arrived in wonderful condition.
Very interesting and expressive. I feel you
must create your art as I do my flutes. Start,
and then let the spirit wander to do as it will.
In other words, “art from the heart”.
Thank you so much! You must have had fun creating
the painting, as it seems to shout fun and games.
I like the vibrant bold colors, it reminds me of myself.
Now to find the right spot for it, so it will feel at home.
Thanks again!
John – Ozarkguru

PS: john’s flute touches me deep inside my heart when i first held it in my hands and the heart warming vibrations just made me tear … hes truly a master of its kind …and i’m ever grateful for having the opportunity to exchange our arts together . i thank you the “great spirits” for allowing this flow to happen .

medicine bags

medicinebags all medicine bags are handmade by me in a process whereby i’ve harvested the grandmother moon’s energies during fullmoons time to enhance the magickal protections of the bags. Therefore it means that for whatever stones/crystals/items u have placed inside the pouch, it will carry the energies of grandmother moon and the bounty love of mother nature around you as it protects/brings goodlucks etc . (interested parties, plzs email to enquire)

Do u know what is a medicine bag ?

Medicine Bag : is an item that spiritually represents the person who wears it and is known in all cultures and through out all of history. They contain objects such as leaves, feathers, stones, herbs such as sweetgrass, sage, cedar, lavender or pinion, and other objects which have been added by the wearer and considered spiritually significant.

The reasons to carry a medicine are for guidance, healing and protection. Most medicine bags contain a quartz crystal as one of its objects. Quartz energy resonates with all the energies of the physical body and is considered a remarkable healing stone. It connects you to your spiritual self.

This is one place to give them a home close to your heart. The essence of these special items create an energy in your medicine bag and that energy is the force that represents you. So by keeping a medicine bag and wearing it close to your heart you are connecting with your spiritual self, the authentic you and always remembering who you are.

happinessYesterday night Bingz called and said that she wld like to collect the painting so we managed to meet up at the mrt and passed her the painting .

Heres what she email to me this morning :

hello Ayako =)

thx for taking the trouble to meet me at such short notice, and the extra present too!

ok.. here’s my comments on the pic..

I like it! It’s got a sort of personality to it, rather than a landscape..

oh I also want to ask: how do your orientate the pic? is your signature supposed to be left bottom of the pic?
coz to me I see it as perpendicular to your signature, coz of the 2 red dots which I see as eyes. It’s a very bright and sunny picture. and i see the pic as having the 2 of us, one above, one below, and lovingly surrounded by curious cute little angels / nature spirits. the mother-of-pearl dots add a magickal feel to the painting. when I scan the painting, it’s got a warm kind of feel to it. I think the green part is me, and the yellow part is Mornin,so it’s very us! I like it that the yellow strokes seem to form repetitive heart shapes..

I think the description also helps a lot – very loving messages, thank you! =)

right now I’m placing it on my bed until I find the painting its new home, heh.

Bingz.

Star Quest

Star Quest

This year I have a challenge, a quest: Only you can decide if you’re up to the Test.

When you open your eyes and look all Around,Some things going on might be getting you Down.

What I ask of you is to look deep inside And ask yourself how you’d change the Tide.

How would you like the world to appear? Get really still, and get really clear.

Once you can see how you want it to be Then you my friends change that reality!!!

Reality starts deep in our souls To construct it is merely one of our goals.

Once we have built it, it must be Maintained,

That’s part of the challenge, an ongoing Game.

If we all do contribute to all that we see, We must make a choice how we want Things to be.

So start with yourself and love who you are The next thing you know you’ll be building A star.

The more stars we have, shining their light The more everything will be more than All right.

That is my challenge, my humble request

That we all make a choice to give only our Best.

Whether or not you answer my call, May this beautiful season bring blessings To all.

This was sent to me from Lori Manella a Friend in NC via email It was so beautiful I Wanted to share it with you.

this is a comissioned piece of healing arts for Steven and its a 12by12inch canvas. To bring forth opportunities and bliss, feelings of happiness while reaching for one’s goals, and to reach up for the stars ! e-joy-of-being111208

Purpose

bonaire-southern-caribbeanMost living things belong to a particular soul group and are born knowing their purpose in life. An animal will spend its day foraging for food, taking care of itself and its young, and creating a home. No one tells an animal to do this, yet it instinctively knows how. Humans, for the most part, are not born consciously knowing what their purpose is.

Purpose gives our life meaning. When you discover your purpose, you can live your life with intention and make choices that serve your objective for why you are here on the planet. Finding your purpose is not always easy. You must embrace life wholeheartedly, explore many different pathways, and allow yourself to grow.

Your purpose is as unique as you are and will evolve as you move through life. You don’t need anyone’s permission to fulfill your purpose, and no one can tell you what that purpose is. Finding and fulfilling your purpose can be a lifelong endeavor. To figure out what your purpose is, ask yourself what drives you – not what forces you out of bed in the morning, but what makes you glad to be alive. Make a list of activities that you wish you were involved in or think about a career path that you would love to embark upon. These are the endeavors that can help you fulfill your purpose and bring you the most satisfaction.

Picture yourself working on projects that don’t interest you or fulfill your purpose, yet they help satisfy your basic survival needs. Imagine how living this way each day would make you feel. Next, picture yourself devoting your time to projects that spark your imagination, inspire, excite, and satisfy you. More often than not, these activities are some of the ways that you can fulfill your life purpose. Time spent on these endeavors will never feel like a waste. Live your life with purpose, and you will feel significant and capable because every action you take and each choice you make will have meaning to it

Talismans

For millennia, mankind has found peace and solace in objects of significance. When cleansed and consecrated through ritual, such objects – be they gems, amulets, herbs, or written words – become talismans.

A talisman is any item imbued with a specific power by its bearer to serve a specific intention. Ancient Egyptians used massive stone tablets as healing talismans while the Greeks and Romans used lead talismans to communicate with the spirit realm.

Traditionally, a talisman acts to anchor energy in the physical plane. That energy may be protective in nature or may be intended to draw abundance, wealth, or a wide variety of blessings to its user.

Today, a talisman may be made of wood, metal, paper, stone, or natural elements such as plants. Often, talismans are small enough to be easily worn or carried, and they may be marked with words or symbols that the talisman’s owner deems meaningful.

Creating and owning a talisman can reassure you and also serve to aide you in attracting what you want in life. You may use your talisman to help you attain health, security, or good luck. Or you may simply want to carry an object with you that will remind you of your search for soulful tranquility.

In order to create a talisman, you must first determine its physical properties. This can be as innocuous as a strip of paper bearing the word “Love” and carried in a wooden box or cloth sack.

You may prefer a more visible talisman, such as a metal amulet or a gemstone worn as jewelry. Before your object becomes a talisman, however, it must be charged.

This can be done by cleansing the object – with water or with incense – and holding a ritual of your own making. Or, you can leave the object in moonlight or sunlight or bury it in the earth for a time.

To preserve its effectiveness, talismans should be reconsecrated regularly. Almost any object can be transformed into a talisman of protection, good fortune, health, love, or serenity. It may be strung on a cord and hung around the neck, worn on a belt, or carried in a purse or pocket.

11oct05But the physical properties of the talisman are not as important as the intention of its bearer. If you are grounded in your desires, your talisman will give you a focal point that you can concentrate on to affirm your intention and help you achieve your goals.

Holistic healing means taking an holistic approach when seeking treatment for imbalances and choosing to live a more balanced lifestyle. What primarily distinguishes holistic healing apart from alternative medicine, complementary medicine, and integrative medicine is that physical health is not necessarily the main focus. Even so, it is often the experience of physical discomfort that will first prompt a person’s pursuit of holistic healing.
Physical illnesses are the symptoms of a greater imbalance that may or may not have a root cause in the physical.Holistic or “wholistic” healing addresses all parts of the individual, not just the physical aspect of a person where manifested illnesses are most apparent. Holistic healing is not intended to serve as a band-aid or a one time fix. It is an ongoing journey of discovery in search of more answers and ultimately; living better, being healthier, and striving for wholeness.

A person who embraces the desire to find wholeness within his own being soon learns the importance of tending to relationships, caring for the planet and our environments, having compassion for humankind in general, and accepting and tolerating differences among a diverse population of people.

The holistic healer recognizes that our discomforts or pains are merely symptoms of an imbalance. The imbalance could be a physical issue, the result of abusing the physical body through an unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, or too little sleep. Or, the imbalance may be the result of mental, emotional, or spiritual needs not being met. No aspect (mind, body, spirit, or emotions) of a person is overlooked when an holistic treatment is sought.

The holistic healer looks at the “whole person” in order to make his or her complete evaluation and uses all information gathered before suggested treatments to the client are offered. Keep in mind, not all holistic healers are equal, each has his or her own specialty or expertise to offer. It will benefit you to shop around for a good fit. Choosing to go to a holistic healer is no different from choosing a medical professional. You decide.

Kindness

In the quest to create a gentler, more loving world, kindness is the easiest tool we can use. Though it is easy to overlook opportunities to be kind, our lives are replete with situations in which we can be helpful, considerate, thoughtful, and friendly to loved ones and associates, as well as strangers. The touching, selfless acts of kindness that have the most profoundly uplifting effects are often the simplest: a word of praise, a gentle touch, a helping hand, a gesture of courtesy, or a smile. Such small kindnesses represent an unconditional, unrestricted form of love that we are free to give or withhold at will. When you give the gift of kindness, whether in the form of assistance, concern, or friendliness, your actions create a beacon of happiness and hope that warms people’s hearts.

The components of kindness are compassion, respect, and generosity. Put simply, kindness is the conscious act of engaging others in a positive way without asking whether those individuals deserve to be treated kindly. All living beings thrive on kindness. A single, sincere compliment can turn a person’s entire world around. Holding a door or thanking someone who has held a door for you can inspire others to practice politeness and make already kind individuals feel good about their efforts. Smiling at people you meet—even those who make you feel like frowning—can turn a dreary encounter into a delightful one, for both of you. Every kind act has a positive influence on the individual who has performed said act as well as on the recipient, regardless of whether the act is acknowledged. Kindness brings about more kindness and slowly but surely takes a positive toll on humanity.

Weaving the thread of kindness into your everyday life can be as easy as choosing to offer a hearty “Good morning” and “Good night” to your coworkers or neighbors, a stranger on the street, or the grocery store clerk. When you commit a kind act, you are momentarily disconnected from your ego and bonded with the individual who has benefited from your kindness. Being fully present in each moment of your life facilitates kindness as it increases your awareness of the people around you. You’ll discover that each act of kindness you engage in makes the world, in some small way, a better place.

The elation we feel when we have learned an important lesson, achieved a goal, or had a big breakthrough can sometimes be met with a period of downtime afterward. During this period of transition, we may feel unsure and not know where to turn next. Many people, during the pause between achievements, begin to wonder what their life is about. These feelings are common and strike everyone from time to time. Human beings are active creatures—we feel best when we are working on a project or vigorously pursuing a goal. But there is nothing inherently wrong with spending a day, a week, or even a month simply existing and not having a plan. Just be. It won’t be long before you embark upon your next voyage of growth and discovery.

The quiet lull into we which we fall between ideas, projects, and goals can make life seem empty. After accomplishing one objective, you may want to move immediately on to the next. However, when your next step is unclear, you may feel frustrated, disconnected, or even a mild depression. You may even perceive your lack of forward momentum as an indicator of imminent stagnation. To calm these distressing thoughts, try to accept that if your intent is personal growth, you will continue to grow as an individual whether striving for a specific objective or not. Spending time immersed in life’s rigors and pleasures can be a cathartic experience that gives you the time you need to think about what you have recently gone through and leisurely contemplate what you wish to do next. You may also find that in simply being and going through the motions of everyday life, you reconnect with your priorities in a very organic, unforced way. The mindful transitional pause can take many forms. For some, it can be a period of reflection that helps them understand how their life has unfolded. For others, it can be a period of adjustment, where new values based on recent changes are integrated into daily life. Just because you’re not headed swiftly to a final destination doesn’t mean you should assume that you have lost your drive. The stage between journeys can become a wonderful period of relaxation that prepares you for the path that will soon be revealed to you.

thanks to marvin for uploading this to youtube so that i can view it here in Singapore ! ^__^ our teacher wai on marae tv nz

today dennis ordered a redwood cedar pendant with an animal totem painted on it … while s ordered 2 pendants, one with a tumbled stone and one with an animal totem …

this batch of red cedar wood comes from michigan, and i’ll use it to handcraft out a round shape pendant with only slight polish on it so that they will remain natural looking and with its aroma of the cedar wood .

Cedar wood is excellent for reducing turmoil as it is physically cleansing and brings a fresh air to the sufferer which lessens the resistance to needed change, it allows clearer messages to be received from deep within ones self and the universe and promotes a peaceful flow.

one can polish the wood surfaces gently to bring out more aroma of the cedar as well if its needed to ….

earth medicines

Mother Earth needs healing! “Global warming is beginning to produce climatic catastrophes; pollution and greed have serverly restricted the quality and quantity of life on our planet. The earth needs to be healed above and below. Our responsibility doesn’t just lie on this planet, It lies in the universe. The whole universe waits for us to clean up.” Wai Turoa Morgan

The Medicine are homeopathic globules which have been potentized to C 1000. This are the substances the medicines are made out of:

Pounamu: The greenstone, Pounamu, from New Zealand I see is a healer. It is not just to heal mother earth, it is to heal all living things on the earth, it is to bring together everything in love. It is a healing stone of New Zealand, and it is the aroha stone, the stone of peace and love. It is a green, the stone of the heart chakra.

Elder: From ancient Greek mythology, the elder was Pan’s plant, Pan being the god or demigod of the nature spirits. So I see this as a medicine to help the nature spirits with their work as caretakers of the invisible world. Over many centauries in Europe this tree has been planted near houses to ward off evil spirits. Dave says it doesn’t ward off evil spirits, it eats them. It sucks negative energy in a much more powerful way than any other plant of his experience; and so evil spirits will not come close to it.

Kawakawa: The Kavakava is one of the three magical medicines that just about everyone from every tribe in New Zealand uses. It also has a powerful suction and is used to keep away negative energies and to hold onto a sacred perspective.

Tibetan Stone: My understanding is that the Tibetan stone changes belief systems. Humanity has so many belief systems that foster prejudice and all these need to change simultaneously. This Tibetan stone is a holy stone, and it has been blessed by the Dalai Lama, it has come on a big journey to be here at this time, because it needs to be here with the medicine.

Tutu: The Tutu has the ability to open up and penetrate at all levels. It also promotes rapid cell regeneration. All these plant medicines will be used to reach into inaccessible places within the earth and remove the negative energies of poisons and trauma from human activities.
